Pre-emptive strikes on Iran -

Explain it to me: Iran -

Hey! this video offered by CNN is a great explanation of the situation in terms of Iran’s nuclear program, in case anyone is only tuning in now or needs help understanding the events!

Nuclear weapons are a sin! -

Iran does make an excellent point, but when they deny IAEA access to their nuclear sites, people are going to get suspicious. But does the IAEA ever find anything when they do their inspections? Yeah almost like how they never found WMD’s in Iraq but that didn’t stop an invasion.

So what if they don't find anything? -

So what if they haven’t found anything?! That hasn’t stopped the States in the past. We’ve seen this before, inspection after inspection looking for WMDs in Iraq, each as unsuccessful as the past. If memory serves you right, you’ll know Bush still went into Iraq. I bet the United States is aching to use that strong arm of their military might right now. However, Obama seems to prefer the use of sanctions and embargoes. Does this mean that Obama does not want a war? A country with the reputation and past of the United States, the real question: is war inevitable? Let us not forget the military presence in Iraq and Afghanistan, conveniently placed on either side of Iran.

The Middle East will never see peace! -

New post to my blog! just a time-line chronicling the events that bring us to where we are today, in terms of Iran’s nuclear program.

Iranian company wants to send toy drone to Obama

An Iranian non-profit company says it will honor U.S. President Barack Obama’s request that Iran return a drone that crashed there last year.
But instead of the actual drone, the company says it will send miniature toy versions. A lot of them.
“We plan to send a full squadron of 12 to the White House for President Obama as a present,” said Reza Kioumarsi, a spokesman for the Aaye Art Group, a Tehran-based non-profit, non-governmental company that makes novelty items.
The company is trying to determine what Obama’s favorite color is before sending the drones, which are 1/80th the size of the real drone, Kioumarsi said.
In December, Obama said the United States has asked Iran to return the highly classified RQ-170 Sentinel drone.
“We’ve asked for it back. We’ll see how the Iranians respond,” Obama said at the time.
This is probably not the response Obama was seeking.

U.S. Citizen confesses his links to C.I.A -

I honestly was under the impression that Iran was just pointing fingers, and trying to put themselves in some sort of position of control by capturing Amir Mirzai and sentencing him to death. I thought maybe they want the assassinations of their scientists to come to an end. Sentencing this man to death seems like a harsh repercussion. Although the U.S. officials are denying any ties with Mirzai and the C.I.A, and his family in Arizona denying his alleged motives for being in Iran, he confessed on state television. He could have lied to his family, and the U.S. officials could be lying to the press. It is difficult for me to personally choose a side but Iran’s actions could bring the world even closer to another war.

Oil sanctions increase tension. -

As U.S. continues to hassle Iran to cut their nuclear program by enforcing oil embargo’s on Iran, tension increases between Iran and their Arab neighbors as they struggle to keep up with oil supply to there rest of the world. It now seems that everyone wants the war, and no one is making any progressive stops away from that option.
